About Wellness Vision
Wellness Vision is an independent publication that researches what healthcare actually costs — drug prices, procedure prices and what patients pay out of pocket — in the United States, Europe and common medical-travel destinations. Every figure names its source and the year its data describes.
What we publish
- Drug prices by country from official databases — the US pharmacy acquisition survey (CMS NADAC), the NHS price list, the French medicines database, Germany's statutory price ceilings (Festbetrag), and the Swiss, Austrian and Dutch reimbursement lists.
- Procedure costs with what a headline price leaves out: travel, follow-up, a second trip, insurance rules and the cost of fixing a complication at home.
- Tools and data: a cost comparison tool, total-cost calculators, an official price-change log with RSS and an open CSV of official drug prices.
- Research articles in English and a German edition.
How we work
- Official sources first. When a government or national health system publishes a price, we use it and cite the exact entry and its date. Then laws, health-policy research and peer-reviewed journals — always the specific document.
- Market estimates are labelled. Many treatments abroad have no official price. There we show ranges and call them market estimates; we do not present them as verified.
- No invented totals. We do not add official line items into a package price. Where we calculate something ourselves, we say so and show the formula.
- AI-assisted, source-checked. We use AI tools for research, drafting and visuals. Before a figure is published it is checked against the primary source cited on the page. Details: Data Sources & Methodology and the AI Transparency Hub.
- Corrections are public. Email [email protected] with the source; we review within 7 business days and log every correction on the sources page.
Who is behind Wellness Vision
Wellness Vision is founded and edited by Serkan Yüksel, an independent content creator based in Türkiye, who is responsible for what is published here. He is not a medical professional, and Wellness Vision does not give medical advice — see the medical disclaimer.
Independence and funding
Wellness Vision is self-funded and carries no advertising. We receive no money from clinics, hospitals, medical-travel agencies, drug makers or booking platforms; we take no referral commissions, and we do not name, rank or recommend clinics or providers. No source has paid to be cited. If that ever changes — for example, if the site carries advertising — it will be labelled and will not affect what we publish.
Wellness Vision is not a clinic, a medical-travel agency or a booking service.
